Doug Emhoff and Kamala Harris met on a blind date in 2013, arranged by Harris' best friend. The two quickly fell in love, and were married in 2014.

A Strong Supporter

Emhoff has been a strong supporter of his wife's political career. He campaigned alongside her during her successful run for Vice President in 2020.

Background

Emhoff was born in Brooklyn, New York, to Jewish parents. He is a graduate of the University of Southern California and the University of California, Hastings College of the Law.
