Merriman Valley Flooding: Timber Top Apartments Face Yet Another Round of Misery

Unrelenting Torment for Akron Residents

The Timber Top apartment complex in Akron, Ohio has endured yet another round of flooding, bringing renewed anguish to its beleaguered residents. Management sent out text messages to check on tenants in the wake of the deluge, which occurred on Thursday evening.

Devastating Impacts

Images from the scene paint a grim picture of the flooding's aftermath. Vehicles were submerged, roadways were impassable, and the complex's back parking lot was coated in mud. The Merriman Valley area, where Timber Top is located, bore the brunt of the storm's fury.

The relentless flooding has left residents in despair. Kristin Cremeans, one such resident, awoke to nearly two feet of water in her apartment. "It's just heartbreaking," she lamented.

Search for Solutions

Authorities are actively searching for ways to mitigate the flooding issue. City of Akron Street Cleaning workers have been deployed to remove mud from sidewalks and roads. Residents are being urged to contact management regarding damage assessment and potential assistance.

According to the National Weather Service, Akron received over five inches of rain in a matter of hours, leading to flash flooding across the region. The Weather Underground website provides real-time updates on weather conditions in the affected area.
